Academic Committee

Objective:

The main objective and functioning of the Academic Cell is to facilitate continuing Engineering Education in Post Graduate and Undergraduates level by improving intellect, while remaining sensitive to ethical, social and environmental issues.

Academic cell is constituted with a noble cause to act as a driving force and catalyst in ensuring overall development of academics in STAR.

We in academic cell strongly believe that culture of creative facilities and conducive academic environment plays a pivotal role for a healthy and vibrant academic culture in the campus.

Activities of academic cell

Activities of academic cell :

Academic Cell is one of the core departments on the campus serving the academic community at STAR. The cell encouraging students to go through the innovative in teaching-learning process and inter-disciplinary studies among the students.

The functioning of Academic cell for various academic activities is circulated in the beginning of the session as part of academic calendar from the Principal’s office.

Academic cell pay special attention to the improvement of student welfare through their academic and cultural development by educating the future technocrats for the promotion of science and technology.

Continuous monitoring of students overall academic progress and developing innovative methods for effective outcome based education.

Anti Ragging Committee

Objective :

To aware the students of dehumanizing effect of ragging inherent in its perversity

To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.

To promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to our notice.

To generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed and unpunished.

Anti Ragging Committee’s Functions

Ragging is inhuman, heinous, uncultured, unethical, immoral and unacceptable.

Therefore the management has taken following decision to be implemented in the college as per the Govt instructions

Students are strictly warned not to resort to ragging activities in any form in the college campus.

The following steps are to be taken by the Anti Raging Committee:

If Management Notices any student involving in ragging activities, he/she will be suspended from the college.

Anti Ragging Committee is responsible to take action against the ragging students in the campus.

If any Student who is harassed by ragging he/she should immediately bring it to the notice of Anti Ragging Committee for taking immediate action.

Anti Ragging Committee members and senior student should take all the measures to instill confidence among the junior students.

Internal Complaint Committee :

Objective :

According to prevention, prohibition and redressal act2013 to provide a safe and secure working environment to womens.

To ensure all women working emplyees are safe and secure inside the campus .

To ensure all girl students are secure and safe inside college campus and hostel.

Function :

The committee now functing headed by Dr. Madhumita Dash, Principal STAR engineering and time to time it is reviewed.

Hostel Committee

Introduction :

Students of STAR are admitted in the hostel during their course. There are two hostels. Hostel is well ventilated and equipped with all materials; hostel has four floor building with capacity of 38 rooms and at present almost all students are admitted in the hostel. Mess has good sitting arrangement for students and provides qualitative food in adequate amount.

Aim :

The students will be able to stay safely in healthy environment and live together with mutual understanding.

Objectives :

The students will be able to-

Looking to different hostel affairs for the comforts and problems of the boarders

Devote adequate time to their studies and research.

Learn to live together and strengthen their relations with mutual cooperation and goodwill as they come from different parts of the country.

Utilize different facilities available to them.

Participate in different co-curricular activities and extracurricular activities.

Enjoy good quality food that keeps them fit and healthy.

Maintain conducive atmosphere for study and interchange of thoughts and ideas.

Sports Committee

Objectives :

To organize and conduct different intra and inter college sports and games activities in a disciplined manner among the students.

This will help the students to have proper physical fitness.

This will also make the students to participate in anticipating, nurturing the environment and lead them to understand, respect individual differences among people in physical settings.

Inter college Cricket (BPUT MEET) -21st feb to 24th feb 2018

Inter college Football (BPUT MEET) -5th Mar to 8th Mar 2018

Central Time Table Committee

Objective:

The mission of the Time-Table Committee is to prepare the Semester Schedule for the College

Responsibilities:

Review the Student Eligibility Report to ascertain the courses that will be required in the next semester

Develop a well-distributed, internally consistent schedule that meets student needs

Update the schedule as needed, through the drop-add period, to take account of actual Student enrollment results.
